I checked with our Tour Van and you are right!  We asked the guys for a little insight on the "Day in the Life" and here it is:

It was our Titleist PGA Tour Van that he saw .  The Tour Van was on its way from the AT+T Tournament in Malvern, PA to the John Deere in Moline, IL.  At this time Titleist has only one van dedicated to the PGA tours but we occasionally use our two Fitting Works Vans for additional support. One FW Van is based in Dallas, TX and the second in San Jose, CA.

Here is a typical week in the life of the PGA Tour Van.

Sunday 7:00am:

Arrive at the tournament site for that week and set up the van. This entails taking the tour van from a closed up traveling trailer to a expanded fully working workshop. When traveling the trailer is approximately 8'6" wide and 38' long.  Once it is transformed into a workshop it is 15' wide and 44' long..

Once expanded and set up the driver of the van spends the next 3 or 4 hours cleaning, stocking the drawers with grips, heads, head cover and everything else that will be needed during the week. The driver also sets up the satellite and connects the van's computer to the internet to replicate so that all the data is current for the coming week.

Once the van is completely set up and ready for Monday morning the driver has his last task for the day which is going to the grocery store to get snacks, water, sodas and ice so that we have everything needed to give the players a nice place to relax when they come to the van.

Monday 7:00am to 5:00pm.                                                                                                                                                                                                                        The driver opens the van and works as a technician taking care of any and all needs that the players have with their equipment.

Wednesday 7:00am to 3:00pm                                                                                                                                                                                                        We take care of players and their equipment until around 2:30 when  the driver starts closing the van. This entails putting everything away and making sure everything is secure for travel. This task takes about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Once this is completed the driver will usually drive 2 to 4 hours toward the next tournament site and stop for the night.

Thursday to Sunday:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  This is the time the driver has to drive the van to the next tournament site. He can schedule his days however he wants as long as he arrives at the next tournament site by sunday morning with a clean and washed tour van.

It's a long schedule and a lot of hard work, but our guys on Tour are the best and they love what they do!
