I love it when I see a mixed bag of clubs in a players bag. It makes me wonder how the player made those particular choices. This week Mat Fitzpatrick wins in a playoff against Scottie Scheffler with an amazing birdie on the 18th hole. His bag had the GT3 driver and TM fairways, png Irons, Vokey Wedges, Bettinardi Putter and the Prov1X Now that is indeed a mixed bag ! I found it particularly interesting to see some lead tape on his fairway woods. I didn't think they still used that now days :)

Shuffler uses a Pro-V as well. Mat is an extraordinary example of fewer tour players signing 10/13/14 club contracts. With prize money expansion, they are less dependent on equipment contracts. Myself, I could gladly use one. LOL. More importantly for them is to not compromise on equipment to have the best score.. Although working with 5 companies across the bag must add complexity to assessing upgrades in the off season.
Lead tape is still fairly common on tour. There are a couple that even cover the entire back of an iron.. I fit the criteria for a GT-1 driver, but it can balloon. Lead tape both allows me to feel the head better and adding the tape forward cuts the overspin. I was fit into the 12 degree but I might do better with the 10.5. Dialing the loft to 11.25 and adding the tape was about $640 (US) cheaper than getting the GT-1 10.5., not counting trade-in. Changing the weight in the back of the head would not have changed the overspin, potentially increasing it.
