I picked up the 910 D3 last week, and I got the Mitsubishi Diamana 72 stiff shaft.  I have a swing speed of about 100mph.  I'm getting distances of about 245-250 yds in the air (both in the simulator and on the course as measured by my GPS), but I was hoping for about 10 more yards.  Would a lighter shaft help with this a bit?  I was thinking of something in the 65-67 gram range.  Thanks in advance.

Daniel to gain 10 more yrds with a lighter shaft is not that easy. Rather play the shaft that gives yiu controll and over time with increased solid ball striking you will be able to go after the shot and gain yrds. If you have a strong game you will gain more from solid drives in the fairway giving you more opportunities for hitting greens and putting for birdies. To many people try to hit long and wild having to chip from thr rough or play the bomb game and carry 5 wedges to cope with bad lies. Develop consistant drives, develop strong iron play and you will be a much better golfer.

    Hi Daniel,

you have about the same swing speed as I do but I carry my 910 D3 with the Ahina 72 stiff shaft around 275 yards.

I changed up from the 909 D3 with the Diamana Blue 65 gram shaft and switched to the Pro V1x from the Pro V1.

Just a thought, it might not be a lighter shaft you need.

    regards,

    Mark

Ten yards off a driver is fairly insignificant, I would be of the same mind as others.. don't mess with what works.
