When I was fit at TPI oceanside I was impressed how quickly and easlily they bent the clubs to fit me before I tried each iron. I noticed what machine they were using and have been keeping an eye open for one. I finally found one on ebay the other day for the price of a new 910. It arrived yesterday in pristine, like-new condition. I opened it up, clamped it down with a couple of c clamps and in 60 minutes I went through my son's entire bag and adjusted every one of his irons. Most were perfect (what else would you expect from Titleist and Vokey?) but I adjusted all of them 1 deg flat as we'd been planning to do for a while (he just turned 11 and isn't very tall).
Now I'll start planning adjustments to my wedges to get my gaps more evened out. First I think I hit my PW too far so I'll weaken it a degree.
Over the years I've often had ideas to bend a club or two but generally never acted on it. Now I'll be able to do it (and undo it) at will.
I highly recommend the Mitchell loft/lie machines and I think all the professionals who use them are reading this saying, "Well, duh" because they are well known as the best by far.
I'm a physicist and very mechanically inclined and even have a machine shop in my garage so not eveyone will find bending clubs as easy to achieve as I did but if you can change a tire on a car, you can figure it out.
