Hi Mark. Based on your swing speed Project X 5.5 Shafts are def too soft. If you go and get properly fitted it might suggest 6.5 or 7.0 (depending on your 6 iron swing speed). However you might find these feel rather sluggish & might not give you the feeling that you need. 6.0 are great shafts that should work nicely with your speed & would give you that extra stiffness. Professionally fitted will also give you the figures that you need to determine this.Dynamic Gold S300 shafts or other brands might also work. If you are comfortable with Project X then stick with it if the stats back it up. I have a similar driver speed. I use AP2 irons with S300 shafts. I was recommended to go for 7.0 or X100 shafts but found it just didnt feel right. Hope that helps

With that swing speed on your driver, I would see no issues with going with the 6.5's...My best suggestion would be to get fit for just irons because while your driver swing speed may be that high, your irons might be a touch lower. I got fit about a month ago for the 6.5's and they work well for me, but my driver swing speed is only about 111. Just a thought. Also, I went with the Flighted 6.5's to help get the longer irons airborn and the shorter irons with a more boring trajectory. Hope this helps.

With a 120 mph swing speed you need steel shafts or anything that weighs in the 125g + range...
