Does anyone on here care to share about their experience doing titleist Thursday's and what it's like? I am a relatively new golfer and am considering going to Titleist Thursday but I don't know if these events are concentrated on more experienced golfers. Would a new golfer like me still benefit from being fit at an event like this?

  2. You will enjoy it, yes you will benefit greatly from a fitting just starting out the correct shaft, head, lie, length. Is of great importance, I play tournament golf and know the sales rep and the club fitter very well, I go to most of them to see them and hang out. They will take good care of you and should work with you using trackman, to see your path, club head speed, and several other parameters, and using that data will be able to recommend the options that best fit your swing. Now with all that being said they usually book fittings every 30 minutes, not enough time for a full bag fitting. Depending on where you live Titleist has regional fitting centers across the United States, and that will be a much more endepth fitting, Miles of golf, in Michigan and Ohio are Titleist regional fitting centers, and are able to do what the performance center, and the Manchester test facility can do,( Almost ) but unlike the Thursday events the later options are not free. but your looking at about 3-4 hours of one on one work, with a Titleist fitter that wants you to play your very best. Hope this helps there great to work with.

Excellent experience. Went online and signed up for an appointment. Took my old club with me that I wanted to replace so we could do a comparison. Fitter was outstanding and matched the right head and shaft based on results from trackman. Did not cost anything for fitting. Would recommend it.
  4. Titleist Thursdays are great. Like was said, A 30 minute slot make it challenging to go through a whole set, so start with your greatest need (irons, woods, etc) and work on that. Perhaps the fitter will find more time, or can schedule you for another Thursday time. But it's a great way to get personal one-to-one time. The fitters really know what they are doing. You can trust them and the process.

    Enjoy!

Each 30 minute time slot is set for one fitting so if you wanted to be fit for irons and driver or irons and wedges (for example), you might want to sign up for two slots so that you have sufficient time to do both. Otherwise, Paul is right - the fitter is going to ask you what is your greatest need and focus on that for the 30 minutes.

I’ve had nothing but the best experience with Titleist and their fitting professionals. I’ve used them multiple times and always been super satisfied.

Is there a way to have the Trackman data sent to me after the fitting experience? Or have it connected somehow to my TeamTitleist profile here on the site?

Absolutely. The marketing concept behind it for amateurs to see the benefit of a custom fit, rather than buying whatever "gold star" club for this year is off the rack. The better the fit, the better you play, the more likely you will trust the product for your next purchase. Between 6 head designs and an incredible number of shaft combinations, there is some magic formula of a fitted Titleist set for the 90% of golfers that the off the rack options are not optimal. Enjoy.
  10. Is there any kind of hard sell? Are they expecting a purchase? I just started playing again and have cally X22's, but intend to get new irons once my game gets back to a certain level. However, I kind of want to see how actually fitted clubs compare to the set I have to see if there is such a difference that my purchase time might actually be bumped up to sooner rather than a little later. Just don't want it to be where the fitter thinks I wasted his time.

No Kevin, no hard sell. The Titleist fitters don't even have the capability for direct sales so unless the local pro is there too, no one will be able to suggest you do an immediate order. That said, at The Grand Del Mar where i did mine, they did offer a nice discounted round of golf if I ordered through them. Good deal given that Titleist controls pricing so what you buy will be the same price anywhere (unless the local pro is willing to reduce their profit margin). I personally would feel bad about going into a fitting if i wasn't seriously planning to upgrade soon. Waste of my time and theirs given the odds that a later fitting might be give different results.

I love it! My sessions are usually 45 mins and the fitter is fantastic, love her. IMO, 45 mins is just the right amount of time to give a few clubs a try and see what's best for you. It comes down to where it's being held, outside or indoor. if it's indoor, I'll usually pass. I much rather do the fitting outside to see ball flights and the look at the Trackman for distance and other numbers. It's WELL WORTH it IMO and it's free. Can't go wrong.

Did one last year was a great experience. The fitter was very knowledgeable and gave swing tips as well as did the fitting. It is worth it since it is free and are looking to play titleist clubs. Titleist makes the best products in my opinion and problem most peoples on this forum.

Is there a place I can go to find Titleist Thursday events by State and date? In a bit of a remote area and willing to travel if I can find dates that work.
