  1. Looking to get fit in a couple weeks for a 7 wood or Hybrid and just wondering if people here have experience comparing the two?

I see a 7 wood in the bags of many pros recently but not sure if a hybrid would be better for your average player?

    Let me know your thoughts!

  2. I actually went to the Titleist Performance Institute in Oceanside, CA in November and ended up being for both a 7 wood and a hybrid to replace me 3 and 4 irons.

The fitting is truly the best way to make that determination. Make sure to discuss with the fitter what you hope to see from the club, whichever it works out to be. And compare apples to apples, i.e., the same loft in both types of club. I use a 21 degree TSi-1 fairway wood and get far better descent angle than I did using a 21 degree hybrid, but I call it a 5 wood (old school).

I prefer the 7 wood over the Hybrid. For me, it's easier to hit. For whatever reason, i've never had a hybrid that I was truly in love with.

Both are easy to hit, but a lot of players struggle with hybrids and may be prone to hitting hooks with them. Work with your fitter to identify if the 7 wood or hybrid works best for you.
