  1. Hi @all,

I wanted to change my Driver from another brand to the new TSR3 Driver and wanted to move my MCA Tensei Pro White 1k to the new Titleist Driver. So I will let the current Driver Adaptor Sleeve change to Titleist SureFit Adaptor. My current playing length is 45,25 inch (Shaft including adaptor installed in the Driver head and grip), based on the measure method that the club is laying on a flat, horizontal surface, like a table or countertop, bottom of the club head turned, so it's at a 60-degree angle to the surface I am measuring the club on. Finally measured from the end of the grip to the point where the bottom of the club head meets the flat surface (I do not know if it is the same method Titleist uses?) So the question is how long must the shaft length be including Titleist adaptor and grip to be then installed in the TSR3 (or TSI3 if it is the same) head in a playing length of 45 inches? (so that I can take my current Shaft correctly prepared with me to the Demo Day Session).

Thanks in advance, take care and keep safe!

A driver playing length is measured with the club propped against a wall at the given lie angle (TS2 is 58.5 degrees). Looking at the clubface, measure with a tape directly in line with the shaft from the end of grip to where it would intersect with the ground. For the Titleist driver the playing length is typically 1" longer than the shaft measured from end of grip to end of adaptor.
    Hope that helps.
  3. Hi,

yes that helps, thanks, my old Driver has a Lie Angle of 60 degree, that Head also adds 1 inch to the shaft, grip and adaptor.

Have a nice and pleasant weekend!

As advised by Titleist their listed playing lengths are measured without the grip attached so if measuring with the grip on and using Barry's directions you would deduct 1/8 - 1/4 inch to account for the the grip cap. For accurate measurement I use a 48" (metal) ruler leaning against a wall and have it leaning so when the club is layed against it the club is properly soled. I predetermine the grip cap depth so I know how much to deduct- it may be nitpicking to make this deduction, but, 1/4 inch = 1.5 swing weight points.
