910 D3 Fitting session - SX-Flex shaft better than a Stiff Tiped one ?

    Just been to a UK fitting session.

    Swing speed was 109mph average, spin was 2885rpm with LA of 14 degrees, ball speed 153-158mph

    The Fitter has recommended X-Flex Diamana AHINA (£134 upcharge) as apposed to Tiped stiff shaft (which I tried) as he believes this will bring down the spin more as I'm a high spin player. He siad X-flex isnt always about swing speed.

    Great driver sits real nice at 45", its just a shame I suit the really expensive shafts.

    He fitted ne for new iron shafts, went from S400 to Rifle 6.5  and I'm hitting each iron 10-15 yards further. So I tend to trust his judgement

    Any views I though X Flex was only for touring pros. I play off scratch.

    The fitter just phoned me, he said Titleist tip all shafts, but he would ask Titliest not to tip the X-flex ; maybe that explains things ?

    He's right about X flexes :)  Can you tell me what head, loft, setting and shaft weight of the Ahina you were looking at?

    I'm a little confused here..

    A Titleist Diamana Ahina tipped 1" will be the same as the unbranded Ahina, potentially saving you mucho euro.  I assume we are talking about the 70 Ahina versus the Titliest 72 Ahina.

    I went from S300 to Rifle 6.5 and now using 2 clubs shorter. Also changed the head from 962 to 990b. Plus I'm not feeling the vibration thru the shaft. But I didn't feel it thru the DG after I put sensicore in them.
