I know that is a popular theory and you will get a lot of responses here saying so. I guess maybe you should try a SW with more bounce and see how it performs for you. However I believe that the issues of fats and digs is much more a result of improper technique. Once your swing becomes too steep( digging) or your lead wrist gets cupped ( fats and thins) then the damage is done and the bounce is not going to save you. Final rec --- get with a knowledgeable fitter who has the necessary Vokey's and by all means do this outdoors fitting off of real grass - NO CHANCE of doing this from mats indoors.( TIP - the firmer the turf you are hitting from the more you will feel the bounce. Soft, long, lush grass doesn't give you much feedback) Don't forget once you find a bounce that works for you from the grass get in the bunker and make sure it works from the sand.
