Hybrid Voodoo shaft - need suggested higher launching shaft

    Need some help! I have a 17 degree 2 hybrid with the Aldila Voodoo stiff shaft. While I have no trouble with trajectory in any of my other clubs, I cannot seem to get this hybrid to launch high enough. Can anyone suggest other shafts to install into this club? I picked up this club to replace my 3 iron. Bought the 17 degree so that I could use it for those 2 iron distances and then choke up an inch for 3 iron distances. Background: 6 handicap, 104mph driver swing, titleist 910, Z Blend irons. Thanks !

    The head of the club is always a much bigger factor than the shaft ..ie.. your 3 iron had 21* loft and your trying to replace it with a 17* hybrid? Doesn't make sense even tho hybrids launch higher.... With a 1o4 mph driver speed I'm pretty sure you will not be able to launch a 17* hybrid high enough to satisfy the Titleist graphs for long game.  Get fitted outdoors using a launch monitor, Pro v1's by a good fitter that will show you the Titleist fitting manual and the graphs. Only way to do it and don't waste your time and money trying to find "the " shaft.

    Thanks Steve. I guess this was an experiment gone bad. I was hoping to get both 2 and 3 iron distances out of one club. Maybe if I go to a 19* with a high launch shaft I might have some better luck. I'll visit my local range - they have a titleist fitting cart there. Thanks! Rob
