I have a dozen of NXT Tour balls that are eight yrs old. Have not been able to use them due to health issues. Would they still be able to perform as new?

  2. Yes in my view - general advice seems to be that if kept in a reasonable place (cool etc) they will be fine, the old wound balls were more susceptible to ageing and losing some performance. Technology of course is improving all the time so as long as you are happy to use an 8year old ball as opposed to the latest design then go ahead. I’m still using up some 2012 Prov1’s in social rounds.

It been my experience that extreme heat affects the most.

Most industry people say that solid core golf ball kept at room temperature is good to play for years.
