So I recently got a box of "Tour Soft" balls and today I was at the range working on my distance control. Well when I went to the greens I opened up the #3s sleeve just to have brand new balls on the green to work on spin and such.

When I open a brand new sleeve I like to put my mark on each ball just so I don't forget and as I was doing so I noticed this on one of the balls (pictured below).

I was curious if anyone has ever seen this before. I've been playing Titleist for about 10 years and have NEVER seen this. It's almost like a glob of the clear coat.

After taking the pictures to show ya'll I tried to break it off and its pretty solid and still leaves quite a rise on the ball in that area. Pretty crazy to think that this small imperfection could completely change the flight of the ball and obviously roll without a doubt.

Since I wasn't at my home course I did not, just kind of took the hit on -1 ball out of the 12...
  5. I bought a dozen of them balls and I did not notice anything like this really hope this is a one off and maybe Titleist will follow this up with you now you've posted this.

Can't imagine they will be happy with this when they're striving for perfection.

Hey Andrew. Shot you an email on Saturday when you posted this and just bumped that email back to the top of your inbox. Not sure how that defective ball found its way into a sleeve but we'll 100% get you taken care of.

That certainly would give me a new excuse to use on the greens!

To me it looks like a piece of glue from the packaging stuck to the ball.
    Titleist will make it right!!!

    Cheers,

  9. Oh, so many ideas with this one. “Here, let me tee a ball up for you” sort of trickery.
