I just saw the new TM Pix/Rickie Fowler ball graphics, kind of a similar look to what cally has done with Truvis for a while. I'm curious to see what people here think of graphics on the golf ball, since I actually like it. I don't use a line on the ball as an alignment aid on the green or tee, but I do like to really zero in on one specific spot on the ball when hitting, helps me focus and make solid contact. Usually that means focusing in on a specific part of the logo or number on the ball, but if there are no graphics showing or they are on a weird side of the ball from my address, focusing on a specific dimple can be challenging. I've started adding some sharpie dots in the empty parts to assist with this, but I think it would be interesting to see other brands like Titleist try graphics/patterns. My current ball is Pro V1x and I didn't care for TM's or cally's offerings when I tried them, so no plans to change, just thought it was a neat concept.

I don’t mind if they have them on or they don’t , I personally use the arrows either side of the prov1 x to line up my putts

No thanks, not for me. I'm a bit of a traditionalist. I would probably buy a dozen ProV1x that only had the name scripted on it if they came that way. I prefer to look down on a putt with the blank side showing already, using no alignment aide. For some reason I seem to putt a bit better that way. There is a company called Golfdotz where you can buy stickers to dress your up as an option.

Same here Dale, looking down at a blank ball let's house focus. The less distractions the better and aligning a ball from behind to then looking over the top of it complicate something so simple.

I do have a box of TT logo Pro V1 but those are comp only use. If I find logo balls they tend to go into the practice bag.

Same here. Lines and marks are too distracting to me.

That would be a big no for me as well. I do the same, put an all white ball and even when I tee it up... same. Any logo ball i get goes right in the shag bag.

Agreed...the graphics all over the ball look gimmicky and cheap to me, typical of what I think of cally and Talormade...that’s why I play Titleist: it’s classic, classy, and simple. I too prefer the “blank” side of the ball off the tee on in, but I do like the simple and classic align arrows on the green (not the dual lines that look like a range ball).

Other than 1 or 3 lines for putter alignment, I find graphics distracting. Prior to the option of yellow in the urethane balls, I purchased a box of Soft Truvis yellow soccer balls. 11 of the balls made an early exit to the First Tee donations. It definitely was the ball that changed the ball, but not to my liking.

I don't like graphics at all - I prefer to putt looking at an all white ball.

I'm with Dale; plain and simple for me. I put just a green dot under the number.
  11. I like the concept but I love looking down and seeing Titleist on my ball

I love graphics on my ball.
    Love buying Titleist logo overruns.
They're fun and easily identifiable with my bad eye sight.

Here are some ideas I'd love to see below.

  13. Not for me! I like my Titleist balls clean withour logos or marks.
  14. I'm with you vurich. I love the fun new truvis balls cally came out with. I have mostly switched to Chromesoft since I like the soccer ball pattern so well. Just makes it more fun. Plus I love driving up the faraway and knowing right away which is my ball.

Blank is better for me, I use 1 dot on the ball on one side. I don't use the alignment arrow to putt, strike the ball in any fashion. To me a busy ball (graphics) is a distraction. I do have my initials on all my ordered Pro V1's but that's all.

I do display balls I find with graphics on them, but won't play one.

Im with Dale, its definitely not for me. I prefer to see absolutely 0 of the markings if I can. Though everyone is different! If enough people demanded it, we could see some titleist versions of what you're speaking of

I don't mind the looks of the yellow/black Truvis but that's as busy as I like. Some logos on the sides don't bother me either.

Thanks for all the replies. Very interesting to see how many prefer no logo at all. Don't know what it is for me, having a logo or something there to pick out with my eye really seems to help make solid contact.
  20. I agree now that I am a little older and not as strong, a mark helps me zero in better.
  21. I don’t mind a small logo on ball to help identify, but to me I like a clean ball as well. I usually have the Titleist logo facing up when putting, helps me focus. Never been much for a line, makes me to rigid and technical on the green

I think it would be interesting if Titleist looked into the graphic enhancements on ball technology.
Developing a design that is pleasing to the eye and not distracting is no easy task.
I believe the return of the Yellow ball has been pretty successful for the ball category...might be time to explorer ball graphic enhancements.

    Cheers,

  23. I like having clean balls. Use the ProV line for putt alignment. Keep it simple.

Like the traditional Titleist out of the box golf ball. I put my three blue dots to mark my ball on one side and that is all I need. I do not have a problem finding my golf ball.

    Do not like the distractions.
  26. Golfdotz adds a small design that is not a distraction....come on live a little bit, let's have some fun out there!

I’m with the majority in this thread that I like a plain white ball. Looking down at a busy ball covered in logos would be distracting. I do love having a personalized ball number though!
