After turning 63 i find i don't hase the speed i use to. Or should i say i just woke up. I play ProV1 X. Is that still the best or is there another Titleist ball out there. Fred Couples stayed with Bridgestone but lowered to the RXS saying he could no longer olay what Tiger does. I am no means Fred Couples but think maybe a softer ball might work. Thoughts

I can’t tell by your post what you are looking for? A softer ball, a high spin ball, a longer ball? Knowing what you are trying to achieve would be your first goal and then you can try one of the many Titleist balls that best fills that need. They all have different characteristics so you usually have to give a little in one area to maximize another area. Example, the ProV1x spins more and flies higher which is usually better for slower swing speeds but feels firmer. AVX spins the least and feels the softest but flies a bit lower. Short hitters on firm fairways like it because they get more run out. Suggest you research on the Ball Selector on the website or better yet, get a few of each and play them to decide. Good luck.

You should try several different ones and see which one suits your game, and what works best in different playing conditions. There are a few guys I play with who will play nothing but ProV1 balls, and insist on new balls for every game. They still haven't learned that the brand of ball doesn't make it any easier to find in the weeds. We always put them in the first group off the tee, and we walk the edge of the fairway instead of down the middle, and by the end of the round I have anywhere from 3 to 10 extra ProV1's in my bag. Honestly, I use them a lot, but I have never had to buy any.

What do you play now? What are you looking for? I'm pretty much reiterating what Dale said, but definitely try the ball selector and see what comes up. Buy a sleeve and play both balls on the course. See how each feels and acts with your game and adjust from there!
  5. I decided to do some of my own testing, I play the Pro V1 - mainly because I enjoy the softer feel. This past Sunday had the Golf bug and decided to play the Pro V1x. Since the temp started out at 37* & finished at 42* my thinking was since I was bundled up my swing would be slower, so the higher launch & spin would help, and I was correct. It seemed to me on the back nine I was hitting similar distances that I was getting towards the end of the season. This has me rethinking my ball for 2021, especially if the new Pro V1x is softer
