I've been wondering this for a while. I play the Pro V1x and I have noticed that many, but not all, are marked with 2 letters. I'm curious what these letters are about? Do they indicate which machine they came off of? Maybe where they were manufactured? Or a model number or something like that? Or maybe they just mean nothing? I have a couple of older Pro V's from 10+ years ago laying around and they don't seem to have the same thing.

Anyway, I'm curious and figured this was the right place to ask.

It is used to identify the mold that was used for the cover.

These are mold id marks. As Titleist owns its own processes, they have to identify the different molds in the production facility. That way, if there would happen to be an issue, they can track it down to specific machines/molds instead of having to stop production across the board.
