My guess is that they will look at Left Dash sales numbers versus manufacturing and stocking costs as a baseline and determine if the investment is worth pursuing for Left Dot. Probably similar number of users expected.
  4. I will tell you there is a huge ground swell at GOLF WRX and other sites regarding this ball, especially after Finau gets two wins with the ball.....there is not 1 bad review of this ball on any site i visit and at Golfwrx specifically, there is a thread with 11 pages dedicated to this ball and its potential release. Lets get this ball out there! its the perfect ball

If by sell you mean another limited release, maybe. If you mean a retail release, no chance.

Has been a while and when I ask my favorite golf shop, they kinda avoid that question. Say impossible to get. Still have a few left.

I saw some dozens selling on eBay for some outrageous prices! How bad do you want them?

Guess the E in eBay stands for emotional. Why pay a premium for a ball you can’t easily obtain to replenish your supply

I just don’t get it. Won’t be selling my 3 sleeves for more than I paid for them.
  11. Would it make sense for TITLEIST to even have the Left Dot as an option under the "BALLS" menu with the full spec write up if they were never coming back?

It just says "sold out online".

I would assume if they never intend to bring that back, they would not even include it in the line up.

    Just my .02
  12. its going to retail....trust me.....

AVX may be phased out at some point I would assume

The "pro" line up would look perfect with these 4 balls

    Prov1
    Prov1 left dot
    Prov1x
    Prov1x left dash

I see a number of seniors playing the AVX and others who want less spin. When we do events at courses with the Titleist rep, he offers the Prov1, Prov1x and the AVX because of their demand.

A exert from a recent Golf Lynk golf article:

"Across Titleist’s Tour-level ball line-up, which includes AVX and anything with “Pro V” in the name, the 80/20 ratio roughly applies. That is, approximately 80 percent of golfers will fit into either Pro V1 or Pro V1x. The remaining 20 percent who fight excessive spin end up with either Pro V1x Left Dash or AVX. So, as it stands currently, AVX is the Pro V1 alternative for the golfer who needs less launch and spin than Pro V1.

But some of you are wondering about Pro V1 Left Dot. Besides the fact that it’s sold out (unless you want to drop $250 for a dozen on an auction site), Pro V1 Left Dot and AVX aren’t the same. Similar? Yes. Same? Nope.

In terms of launch and spin profiles, Left Dot fits between Pro V1 and AVX.

Moreover, Pro V1 Left Dot is played on the PGA TOUR every week. AVX is not. This is because Pro V1 Left Dot is firmer with a bit more spin than AVX. The additional spin helps golfers who want a lower flight window but require the additional spin around the greens. Should Pro V1 Left Dot make an appearance in the retail market at some point in late 2022 or 2023—and I’m not promising it will—that would give Titleist five Tour-level balls in its lineup. Then the primary question becomes whether the performance separation between the five models is sufficient to warrant keeping them all around. We shall see."

I sure hope so! I love the ball. I was lucky enough to get a dozen when they were released. I have a few sleeves left ... not sure if I want to play them or not. Especially not on a tight, wooded golf course! HA!

The Pro V1 Left Dot will be my next purchase for the 2023 season.
  16. The ground swell for the release of this ball is too great to ignore.....this would sell 10x more than the AVX which is a pure niche product......the Prov name is just too powerful right now so releasing the Prov1 left dot just makes complete business sense.

Dropped by my favorite Titleist retail shop today to have a grip changed and we were discussing the left dot and they said they hardly get any calls for the left dot. Said it is a tough ball to play and one of the pros there said jokily it was a AVX with high spin. Made comment that it is a tour level ball and they cannot get them for retail. They have a number of teachers and fitters there only one plays the ball. Most are scratch golfers. Madison Coleman, one of the teaching/fitting Pro's at the shop, won the XXIO CPGA Women's Professional Championship in Raleigh, NC, Aug 22-23. I traded in my last three sleeves of left dots for Prov1x lefts dashes today. The left dash performs better for a hacker like me.

I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a dozen Pro V Left Dot last spring. My observation is that I have a lower ball flight but much more roll with the Left Dot compared to the Pro V 1. The AVX doesn’t hold the greens for me (and feels too soft) but the Left Dot does holds the greens. I’ve given two friends a ball each, one being my club pro. He’s been fitted with the TSR 4 driver and loves the combination of the driver and ball.

    Much prefer the ProV 1x
  20. I have been playing Pro V1 and X for years. My friend has switched to the AVX and just curious what the consensus is out there. I am an 11 handicap, 67 years old still hit the ball around 240 to 265. Thoughts ?
