I find the NXT tour to be the best all around ball for my game. Try putting the solo and NXT tour and see which gives you a more consistent run at the cup. I've tried to play Pro V's for years and can barely keep a ball round through one hole. Even the ProV1x's end up scuffed by my irons, but I'm 6' 6" and can put 12,000 rpm's on a ball with my 8.5 degree driver.

I think you'll find the playability of the NXT is just a little beter than the solo, but each swing matches up a little different. Good luck.

Nxt Tours are the way to go, they spin a tremendous amount more than the NXT or DT Solo's for that matter, and are a softer feeling ball because of its Fusa-Blend cover.  The Solo is a great ball, as it has the softest cores, but the firmest hardest cover which is not a good combination for creating spin.

Aaron, as far as the 12k spin on the driver, that is an enormous amount of spin.  I am guessing you hit the ball to the moon and get zero to little roll when the ball hits the fairway?  Yes the NXT tour does spin less than the Pro V1x or Pro V1's, but it is only a few hundred RPM's.  When a player is spinning a driver more than a wedge, I would seriously take a look at the shaft.  I am guessing by your height, you can produce tremendous club-head speed, where a heavier shaft with a stiffer tip, and even less loft could drop that spin number.  Consult your local golf professional or look for a Titleist fitting day to help you out.

 I was wondering if the NXT line of balls were changed any for 2011? I haven,t tried an NXT Tour ball for some time, but my swing speed has diminished  thru the years and I,m not getting the carry on Pro V,s  I would like. I have been using the DTSolo in cold weather and like it execpt around the greens. I would appreciate some suggestons. Thanks,Larry M.

I have been playing the NXT and NXT Tour for a while and had good results, but also played some TM balls I got for a gift.  Played a round today with some Pro V1's my brother gave me and was crushing it, so I am gonna give those a try for a while.  but for the value, NXT is a dang good line and you will have good results.  As for DT SoLo, I have never hit them, so I have no good info, but it is a Titleist, so I am sure it is a dang good ball. 

Yes, I would completely agree, NXT tours are like cheap prov1s.

Tried the New NXT Tour.

Like the distance, feel off the club and the price. It will replace my ProV1x balls during normal attrition.

Thanks for the advice, I used the Pro V1x for awhile and i would hit it well but it would always tail off out of the fairway, so I've been trying to see which ball spins less between Titleist and TM balls. But I know that Titlist balls are legit balls so I think I'm going to stick with the DT SoLo, unless I can find an NXT ball that spins less that the SoLo.

The DT SoLo will be the lowest spinning ball in the Titleist lineup.

The NXT Tour is a great feeling ball with a very nice combination of spin and durability. I normally play the ProV1x, but in a mixed alternate shot format my wife and I play the NXT Tour as it is a ball she really likes. I find it a great compromise.

Aaron, it is time to see both your club fitter and your PGA Professional. 12,000 RPM from a driver is WAY to high. Most Tour Professionals shoot for driver spin rates between 2,300 - 2,900 RPM and a good club player is near 2,800 - 3,200. 12,000 is more like a wedge with Spin Mill grooves out of the fairway!
