Over the weekend I had my 33" Kombi turned into a 43" Mid Length Putter at a local golf shop with a shaft extension. I had done enough research to know that the Mid putter was 400 Grams and therefore heavier than mine. I've only played 3 rounds with it since having it extended. I've already made a big improvement on my putting but I'm having a really hard time getting it to the hole from any real distances. I wanted to know if anyone else has done anything similar and if so would you just add weight to it or do you think actually getting the stock mid putter would be worth the money. I think I could probably get used to it over time but surely Titleist is making them heavier the longer you get them for a reason. One of the guys in my group went to have the same thing done with his Rosie putter and they really discouraged him due to this same reason. Did they think the weight was that big of a deal or did they just want to sell another putter. I'll gladly spend the money IF I believe it's really that well spent. All input is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks.
