hey guys, i currently have the r11 and the titleist drivers are calling my name. over the off season I'm going to either get the CB or MB irons but I'm confused on regards to my driver!?! my r11 seems to me i just cant get it down pat, i was very inconsistent all year long with it, but i don't want to change because i spent 400 on it! i plan on going to hit them both, and compare to see which one fits me better, but the titleist drivers look so good! any suggestions on what i should do? im a 16 year old with a 4 handicap just trying to make my game better. Thanks

The best thing to do is to go see an authorized Titleist club fitter. I went to the Jim McLean Golf Center in Texas and Kyle did a great job helping me. Getting fit is the only way I would buy a club if you want to get the best performance. I thought I wanted a 910D2 driver and a 910Fd fairway wood. I ended up with a 910D3 driver and a 910F fairway wood. Bottom line: Go see a fitter!!

Best way is to be objective and try both (launch monitors and all that). I did a demo day quite some time ago. I brought my 2007 Burner driver (HT loft M flex but shortened to 45" so the flex may be closer to regular) and did a comparison with three R11s (M,R and S flex). Didn't see any gain in distance (the S flex hit dead straight but about 10 yards less; the other two had a small fade, even with a draw face). If it ain't broke, don't fix it! I actually tried a couple Titleist drivers (909D) and even the stiff shaft felt pretty good.

    hey Brandon,

I've never hit the R11 or the new Titleist drivers - but I just sold my R9 on ebay - I could never hit it consistently.  Not sure if the shaft was wrong for me, but that club and I didn't get along.

When I'm ready for a new driver I'll be getting fitted for the new Titleist.
