    fort mcmurray,

I currently have the Studio Select Squareback 1 with a (Half Shaft offset).

I put with my hands in a very slightly forward position or neutral position.  It sometime feels better coming off the face when my hands are in the neutral postion, but I am concerned that I may be adding loft at impact. I like the Mid Mallet style putters, Fastback, Squareback styles. My putting stroke is more straight back straight through with a small arc.

So my question is...Is there a better shaft offset option for me then the one i currently have? Would the Squareback 2 (full shaft) or the California Fastback (Full Shaft) have a better shaft for my stroke?

    Thanks

    Jason

I would certainly try the new California Fastback. The double bend shaft sounds like the best option from the description you have given. Different offsets will effect your aim and should be tested to determine what fits your eye. On a side note, I find that sometimes players with a forward press hit the ball high on the face. This might be why it feels better when you are more neutral. Impact tape should show it. Just my thoughts. Good luck. Joe Burdess Titleist Regional Fitter
  3. Jason, this is a very technical question....you will not only want to experiment with 1/4 offset, 1/2 offset and full one shaft offset shafts but also the loft configurations.  These offsets tend to vary the amount of gate swinging vs SBST strokes...

Have fun playing with various putters, you will be rewarded in the end!
