Played my first round today with my new 712 AP1 irons and they are what I expected and more. The ball jumps off the face of the club but not so much where I forego any feel or control.

I cannot wait for the season to really begin as I know these new clubs will help me play better and bring my handicap down

Yes Mike, Titleist certainly knows what they are doing. In addition to the AP1s I am hitting a 910 D2 driver and I like that quite a lot. I am in eastern PA and we played 18 today...

Recently picked up a set of 712 AP1's to replace my 710 AP1's. I only owned the 710's a short time but really liked them and knew when I saw the 712's I wanted to upgrade. So far I have only hit mine at the range but they feel wonderful and are very accurate. I've been playing with forged clubs for years and these feel very similar. On my way to Florida next week and can't wait to put them to the test on the course. I think Titleist has a real hit on their hands with these new AP1's.

Let me know what you think after the FL trip. I really like the performance in this chilly weather and so can only imagine it will get better as the weather gets warmer
