So Guys (and Gals),
How is the new 815s working out 280, 290, 300 yard drives, able to cut it, draw? Working it?
Got to know......................

I was really nervous when I teed up my first Pro V1x with my brand new 915 on our #3 par five double dog-leg right. I ordered the 70 Rogue Black stiff in a 9.5* head. Well, being my first tee shot with the club I really was hoping for a memorable moment. I usually hit a fade to slice on mishits so I was hoping not to do that on my first ever shot with my new 915. With a new shaft and a new head, it felt really different than my 913 with a Diamana Blue 62 stiff shaft.
Anyway, I waggled the club, took the club back and came through on my downswing, looked up, and there the ball sailed.... ever so slightly a push to the right about 5 yards off the target line. I knew I was close to the rough that sticks out on the first dog leg right, but possibly still on the fairway. I drove down to the ball as I measured the distance with my GolfLogix. There the ball was on the side of the fairway about 1 yard from the rough. I measured 270 yards from the tee box. I was as happy as could be that I could say I hit a fairway with the first ever drive with the 915. The ball may have traveled further, but the temperature was only 55 degrees F outside.
I have hit several great drives with the new 915 / Rogue Black combo, but I have hit several bad ones too so far; only hit four fairways out of the nine (44%) that I used the driver on this past Sunday. The bad shots are only because I am still getting used to the feel of that new shaft. The 915 head does what it says. I know this because Trackman proved it to me on demo day. Lowered my spin about 1000 RPM with new 915 head (1 degree less loft) and Rogue shaft combined (in comparison to my 10.5 913 with stiff Diamana Blue 62).
Mishits sound more like dull thuds than with the 913. The sweet spot strikes sound fantastic as do all Titleist drivers do from 910 on up (in my opinion/experience). I have never hit a Titleist driver older than the 910 model.
