Any comments on the Rogue shafts and the 915 driver? I've heard the Rogue black in the 915fd is very, very long. Anyone see much difference between silver and black? And any comments in the Rogue shaft in the hybrids?

I've got the Rogue Silver 70 110 MSI in my D2 and really like the feel and performance from the little bit that I've been able to hit it. I hit it for a good 30 minutes or so during my fitting (indoor Flight Scope fitting), and again yesterday on the range (very cold windy day). It reminds me of the original White Board 73 that I played for a good long stretch, but somehow it feels a little lighter even though the Rogue actually weighs a couple more grams. The Silver flights the ball relatively low and the Black a little bit higher. Both feel very smooth through the swing. I fit into an X-stiff and I find it to feel much better than the Tour Spec Fuel 70 that I played in my 913...and it looks super cool.

I purchased my 915 D2 10.5 with the Rogue Silver MSI 110 60 3.4.  One word:  WOW!  I upgraded from a 913 10.5 with a Graphite Design AD DI-6.  I took it out Sunday and the tempature was 45 degrees.  The 915 Rogue was at least 10-15 yards longer.  That was impessive considering the tempature.  I noticably mishit it at least 3 times.  However, the ball did not move to far off line and the distance was still adequate.  I am more of a feel player, and the ball came of the face very solid even on the mis-hits.  It was almost like I was hitting nothing on the solid swings.  I am very staisfied with this combination.  I am actually researching the Rogue options for a 3W and 5W.  That is how impressed I am with the new 915 series with this shaft option.  I do not think you can go wrong with this combo.

Thanks for the information guys. I'm looking for a 915 fitting shortly. At 56 years old I think my stiff flex days are over. Any thoughts on a regular flex shaft? Thanks for your opinion.

  5. I ordered the D2 driver in 10.5 with the black, and the 16.5 3/4 wood with the same shaft.  The driver defiantly feels better than my 913 with the blue.  Not sure it was much further, but the miss hits were no where near as far off.  Worth the money?  Yes!

The 3 wood however for me felt awesome.  There's no question that it's further than my 913.  I'd say 15-20 yards if I had to guess.  Very easy to hit straight, and it just kept going.  Both were worth the money IMO!  I also bought the 3 hybrid, and it felt a little longer than the 913, but not as noticeable as the 3 wood. You won't be disapointed with that shaft.

I ordered the Tour Rogue and it'll be another few weeks so in the meantime I've playing a 70x 110 msi Rogue and surprisingly very solid shaft. It's in my D3 8.5* and very stable. Cannot wait to get the other Rogue. I have yet to try the Rogue in the fairways though.
