Well "guys & dolls I pulled the trigger on a set of AP1's. The weather still SUCKS but looks better next week. I asked the pro what he had to have for them and he made me a offer I could not refuse. Now all I need is for the snow to melt. steve b

Thank you Chuck Z, To answer your question I guess it would be no. He had the standard regular flex 714 AP1's and a set of 714 AP2's with x-stiff shafts. I asked which was the better fit and his reply was AP1. I'm 64 years old so I don't need anything fancy. He has been working with me for years. He knows my swing. I'm really excited to get them on the range. Look out all you scratch golfers!!!!! L.O.L. steve b

Congratulations Steve, I am 64 and would love to purchase a set of AP1. Seems like you will love them. I don't understand how bad the weather is where you are. Down here South we don't know about that. Just played today and it was 70 degrees. If I could not play all year long I would go crazy.
Wish you the best!

Always an exciting day when they come in. My newest set just came in as well, time to hit the range!

Your wife may thing you're possessed but the devil would have you buy irons with the promise of more yardage than the last 3 sets released in the last 2 years. Of course their 6 iron is the same loft as your 5 iron. I got a new set of AP1s but with a shaft better suited to my swing than what I had in late 2011. Nothing wrong with improving your game. Enjoy, the snow should be gone by Wednesday, even in the frozen tundra.

I got new AP1'S for Christmas here. Went from G25 to these, I have to say that I love the feel of these. I am turning 60 this year and have only been playing a couple of years and my score came below 100 last summer. I'm hoping to break 90 this year with the new irons. I will have full Titleist bag in a couple months I already had the 913 driver, just added the 915 fairway, vokey wedges, looking to add the 915 hybrids next. I love Titleist, I am an addict to it. My wife likes it too, that's what she always buys me !

jeff h, I pre ordered my new 915D2 in oct. I had 13 rounds in before the snow hit. Your going to love your new driver. I played yesterday and I striped one down the middle with two grounds crew watching. His reply after the drive was "your in mid-season form all ready". The new 915's are FANTASTIC! Keep us posted on your progress. steve b

Congrats on your choice! You'll love 'em!
This might not apply to you because your pro knows your swing, but I would always suggest a fitting, It is important to at least get the grips, lie, shaft stiffness, and length matched to your needs. These things can have a huge influence on shot quality. If not correct, you could end up with problems that you end up trying to correct through swing changes. Sure, if you are good enough you can compensate for wrong specs. But much simpler to fit the clubs to the swing than modify the swing to the clubs.
Btw, spring was sighted here in Chicago this past week. Snow cover is gone, and got my first round in.
The rest of the country can't be far behind.

I bought a set of used "like new" AP1 714s and just waiting for the snow to melt and the course to dry so I can use them. However, before I can use them effectively I need to have the lie bent 2 degrees flat. I contacted Titleist about doing this, but never got a reply. I suppose I will have to continue using my orange dot G25s until I can find someone to bend them.

I bought the AP1 in 3,4,5 iron and AP2 in the rest and they are FANTASTIC! They are way more forgiving than the AP2s but are Great You will truly enjoy them.

Hi guys! man I'm from Queensland Australia and we never get snow so it's golf all year round. I couldn't imagine not being able to smash a ball down a fair way each week. I just bought a second hand set of ap2 710 irons and they are freakin great I also purchased a brand new D15 3 drive with the rouge adila shaft and it is amazing!!!! I don't think I've ever swung a club that feels so good great job titleist once again an amazing golf club. Hope the snow melts soon. Cheers jake
