Has anyone tried the aldila RIP tour iron graphite shafts on a set of titleist AP2's or any other titleist irons? if so how did you like them and how did they respond? did they live up to the "graphite is equal to or better than steel". I really want to try them but im unsure. I currently am using the true temper on a set of 712 AP2's. thanks for your responses

I have Aldila RIP Tour 115 gram stiff shafts on my 2014 AP2s. I also have the 90 gram stiff shafts on another set of 2014 AP2s. I've played various Titleist irons from the DCI through 962, 704 and all the AP2 models. I've hit these clubs with Dynamic Gold X100, S400, S300, Aldila NV and the Aldila RIP Tour. For me the RIP Tour shaft is the best shaft I've ever played.

The secret to success is in having the right shaft.

  4. Hello Thomas, you seem to have experienced many graphite shafts on iron, could you provide us some feedback on the UST-mamiya shaft - RECOIL PROTOTYPE (stiff = F4), weight 95 or 110 ? They had good marketing, but read very few review on it. Compare to steelfiber that we can find many review. Thank's Benoit

I can't reply on the UST shaft. I live in a small town in NW Colorado and we don't have any significant golf retail operations and I don't play with anyone playing that shaft.

We can get the Recoil 95 or 110 to your fitter if you schedule a fitting with a Titleist certified fitter.  Please know there is an upcharge for the Recoil 95 and 110 and the Prototype version (which we also have) is quite a bit more.  You can get pricing from your fitter or pro shop.
