Replacing a Tapered shaft with a Parallel shaft into AP2

    I have a set of 714 AP2.  I wanted to replace my current shafts from KBS C-Tapers to Project X 6.0 shafts.  I went to a golf shop to try and replace just my 7 iron.  I picked up my club and the owner informed me that he replaced my C-Taper with a parallel project x shaft.  The owner informed me that it was okay to put a parallel shaft and it will perform about the same as having a tapered shaft in my 7 iron.  

    Is it possible to replace a tapered shaft with a parallel shaft into AP2.  Any thoughts?????

    In order to put a parallel tipped shaft, he would have had to bore out the hosel of your clubhead.  It's not something we would have recommended. Give us a call and we can explain it further for you.  1-888-TITLEIST
