  1. So I received a used Titleist LH 913 D3 with an Aldila RIP 60 .335 stiff shaft for christmas, and just last week the shaft snapped at the head. Now I am stuck with just a titleist head, with part of the shaft still in the connector. Before I did my research I ordered an aldila vs prototype for the head, what I'm basically wondering is if I take the club head and the newly ordered shaft to a club repair shop will they be able to fix it, or do I have to get a titleist connector piece installed on the new shaft then just switch shafts?

Any repair shop will be able to separate the adapter from the remaining shaft, and should be able to re-use the adapter on the newly ordered shaft.

If you have the torque wrench you should be able to unscrew the shaft from the club head (might need a second person to hold the remaining part of the shaft firm with pliers or vice grips). Once you have the head and shaft unscrewed from each other, your club repair shop should be able to easily take the adapter off the remaining piece of your old shaft and install it on your new shaft.

They should be able to get the sure fit piece off the old shaft and put it on the new one.
  5. If the shop you take it to has a shaft extractor, then they will likely be able to take the tip off the broken shaft and put it on the new shaft. If they cannot remove the tip, then you will need to buy a new tip and have them put it on.

I'm fairly new to the shaft with SureFit adapter, but I'm pretty sure you can just take the broken shaft out of the SureFit adapter, and install the adapter on the new shaft, then screw it back into your wood. I guess the repair guy should be able to tell you if he can do that or not.

The local shop will have to tell you if the connector can be saved. Other options are to get another shaft to pull or an aftermarket connector. Being used, you won't be be voiding any warranty.
  8. Thanks for all the help guys, took it to my local store, installed the new shaft on the connector no problem!!!!
