  1. Which of these are the more forgiving in a 4 iron?

The AP2 would be more forgiving than MB, just because of the cavity and lower cg. Hope this helps.

    Hey Peter,

I guess "forgiving" is really in questions here. Albeit my trial was with a 3 iron. I used the 712 AP2s and finally upgraded to the 716s. I never hit my AP2 3 iron so I opted for the TMB 3 iron as more of an off the tee club. The TMB just isn't my club. Not consistent from yardage to direction. Now I have a buddy who hits it a mile and we are the same handicap. I prefer the AP2.

I have T-MB 4 iron and it is very forgiving. I tried my friends AP2 and it is nice, but the T-MB gives a little more help.

TMB not th MB would be more forgiving then the AP2 at least in my experience.
  6. The AP2 will be more forgiving however the TMB launches higher using the same shaft IMHO so it is a different type of club to hit. You may find either easier to hit depending on your swing however it was the AP2 for me.

I read an article last week stating the new hot term is "forgiving". They claimed that there was no real way to compare because there was no standard to start with. I am trying to find the article again so I can post it. Good luck with finding what you want, it's like chasing the holy grail .Let us know if you find it.

Nice to see so many opinions on this... Personally, I have both and my best description for each is DIFFERENT. They are both 4 irons and some people have a tough time hitting those long irons. If I'm having an off day, both clubs will perform the same way.

The T-MB gets the ball up a little higher, in my opinion and if you hit it right, you'll be happy. I think a miss may be go a little further on the AP2, but may curve more. The feel is better on the AP2, but the T-MB grows on you.

You really need to try both and see what you like better as they are very different clubs. Until my C16s come, I will play my T-MB 4i.
