917 will have some on the C16 technology and a lot cheaper!

Simple answer is that the C16 was a Concept driver with a limited number made and the 917, when released for market purchase, will be a Production driver (I know, everyone knows that). I expect that they are very similar, if not identical, but there may be some tweaks to the 917 that occur prior to production release due to Tour Validation.

The C16 was/is a limited production "proof of concept" driver available on in the USA. It uses a few different materials then other Titleist drivers. The 917 will be the next production driver that Titleist will release worldwide. It will have some of the newer technology features of the C16 but will use more "production friendly" materials. This also means it will be more affordable than the C16.

I hit the C16. It is beyond amazing. From what I was told at the Titleist Thursday fitting, the shafts were produced specifically for the C16.

So should I wait get 917 or get 915 d4 .

Wait, which is what I am doing. I don't get the guys that buy every cycle of clubs.....LOL

At this point I would personally wait for that 917 but that's entirely up to you. Either way you'll have a awesome driver!
