  1. I have the ap2 irons gap wedge to 5 iron and im looking to buy a 3 and 4 iron. I hit the irons very well so should i stick with the ap2 or look for more forgivness in the long irons with the ap1?

You might want to hit the AP2 and AP1 long irons side by side. I'd recommend hitting the 816H1 hybrids, too. I'm currently trying out the 25 degree H1 as a replacement for my AP2 4 iron. So far, it looks like the H1 will stay in my bag.

I went TMB 3/4 and 5-PW in the AP2. Have you thought about the TMB?

I would suggest trying the T-MB 3&4 irons.

Since you are hitting the ap2's very well, to me the way to go would be with the ap2, 3 and 4 irons to complete the set.
  6. I would purchase the AP1 3 and 4 iron which is what I have done with my AP2 set. I feel like it is a perfect compliment. I would consider getting a lightweight shaft for the 3 iron though compared to your other shafts.

    DZandi,

You may end of having to bend the lofts a little weaker if you go with the AP1s. I believe you may hit them a bit further and end up with a bigger gap between the 4/5 especially. I think the Ap1s are about 2 degrees stronger in the 3/4. I would suggest what Matthew said and try them side by side if possible. If your course has the demo set, take the 3/4 out on the course and hit them from the fairway, rough, and a par-3 or two if available.

I have the AP2 5-W and have tried the AP1 and TM 3/4 irons which are both very easy to hit, but not nearly as easy as my 915 hybrids. I'm sure the newer 816 are amazing as well.
