    Titleist U

    I'm using the C16 driver (really like it). How it will compare to the new D17?

    Any ideas?

    I love my C16 as well, and plan on sticking with it. I heard that the D17 has parts of the C16, but not all the same, as it would cost too much to mass produce the C16.

    But, I also would love more specifics on what is the same and what is different.

    The concept of the adjustable weights and Active Recoil Channel are the same as is the basic shape. The materials have changed a bit as the ones used in the C16 are some pretty exotic titanium alloys and using them in a production environment would be next to impossible for the volume of D917 drivers that will be made.

    For me the cup face and thin crown of the C16 are incredible and set it apart from the 917 D line.
