  1. I want to change the weights on my California Monterey putter. I have the wrench and I have the weights but I cannot move the existing weights. Any ideas?

I take mine to a friend who owns a repair shop and have them do it for me. Not lazy just let the pros do it.

Try heating them up a bit...use a blow dryer.

    Good Luck,

  4. I would send it back to the Scotty Cameron custom shop. But that is just me

Sometime they are hard to remove. 1)With a lot of CARE, You could use a vise to secure the putter'head (not the shaft) but you have to protect it with pieces of rubber.
    2) put some wd40 lub around the weights.
    3) if you use the small after market wrench, put it in the 2 holes of existing weights a) try to turn it by hand, if it is not possible b) use a small hammer on the holder of the wrench with very small hits.
Putter head are made using soft metal so take your time. Good luck

    Hi Neil,

You should carefully put the putter head into boiling water. Do NOT immerge the hosel under any circumstances, it could affect the epoxy.
This method - advised by fellow TT's members - worked perfectly (and effortless) for me.

    Hope this helps!
