917 driver and 3 wood circles

    Can anyone please tell me what the small circle above the logo on the sole is for? My driver one seems quite flush but the 3 wood seems to stick out a bit.

    Just an access point for adding hot melt most likely.

    Exactly what its for.

    Incase you don't know what hot melt is, a substance that can added inside the head either...
    1) add extra swing weight
    2) slightly alter COG
    3) also been know to quiet down the acoustics of a head at impact
