  1. Hi all. I have a question about getting some club work done. Up where I live (Sacramento) there is literally no place reputable to perform the club work I want done, to the exact spec. Curious if I can send the clubs to Titleist for the work. Thanks.

    Work:

Install a 917 fairway wood, SureFit adapter on a different shaft (currently has a 910F adapter). Would like to have the shaft "Pured" prior, but not a deal breaker.

    Thanks,

    Paul

Titleist won't be doing that job. They primarily inspect/repair/replace equipment within the 1 year warranty. Moving the shaft from the 910 to any newer fairway does require the Sure-Fit adapter for all models after the 910. To use a Titleist adapter that would require sacrificing a shaft, There are non-OEM adaptors as the only other choice. Dallas Golf has built shafts for me in the past. But there should be a golf shop somewhere within 100 miles of Sacramento that can repair golf clubs.
Purring would require a custom club builder like Club Champion that do custom fittings and on-site building. That is only one brand as an example to check, there are others.

Having a graphite/composite shaft "pured" has no real benefit. Due to the construction methods they are very uniform unlike a steel shaft that is formed and welded.
