I was just curious if anyone knows if there is a difference between the 962's that have a "962" stamp on them and ones that don't? Difference in grooves, v vs. u? Performance differences by chance? Thanks in advance for the response.

    I didn't know there were unstamped 962's.

    Could they look like this?

Its the 962 iron without the 962 stamp. I've heard various things about them, like they are prototypes for the 962's or that they have u grooves instead of v grooves.

I had a set of the unstamped 962s.  I always felt like they had a slightly thinner topline.  I think they were only available for the first half of 1996, at which point the 962s came out.

I've really enjoyed playing them. I recently got a set of 695cbs and have moved the 962's to backup set. I love the profile of them. I agree, the topline seems slightly thinner when compared. Thanks for the response!
