I currently play the 909D2 Driver 9.5 with the Diamana Blue Stiff shaft.  I have spent a year hooking the ball, so with no end in site, I am considering changing the shaft, or since I am making a change, switching to the 910D2, or D3 with a different shaft.  Does anyone have any suggestions.

My clubhead speed is 108 to 115 mph, and my distance when I mange to keep it in the fairway is approx 290 + or - due to soft conditions so the roll varies.  My launch angle with the Diamana is 14.5, which I think is a little high, so I was thinking maybe the 910 with 10.5 loft and a shaft with a higher kickpoint.

    Your thoughts are welcome.

    Hi Frank,

If you are going to invest the money, I would definitely upgrade.  The 910 is awesome!!!  I would probably go and see a fitter to find the perfect set up for you.  With the interchangability of the 910 though, you can't go wrong.  Good luck finding the perfect new club.

Thanks, I went to Golf Town yesterday, I tried the D2 and D3 with the available shafts, but they all seemed lifeless.  I decided to change out the shaft to one I like, thinking I would need to upgrade the shaft in the 910 anyway.  This way I have the 909 with the new shaft, then if I want to upgrade to the 910, I can use this same shaft again.  I chose the Claymore 48 F5, which is about 50 grams but the flex is between S and X.  The feel is excellent in the heads I was able to try it in.
