Is there supposed to be a gap between adjustable spin things and the grommet because i cant tell if it is right or not.

    Should be zero gap!

The screw should tighten without any friction and the pieces fit together.   See below.

This is how mine looks. I bought it the first week it came out. They said I could be cold weather, but I have mainly been hitting indoors or outside with heaters, so I don't know if i should send it in to titleist or what i should do. I have even taken the head off and screwed it back in and made sure it makes the click sound, but there is still a gap.

I believe we are looking at a ferrule issue, the black piece below the "number ring."  It's quite possible that temperature changes have affected the epoxy holding the ferrule in place.  If you can move it by pressing up (in the photo) with your fingers, all you would need is a little dab of crazy glue and it should return to ideal.

Hi Jonathan, Please take your club back to a Titleist pro shop or retailer and have them set up a warranty - we will get a new shaft to you pronto.  There should be no gap between the ferrule and adapter.

Cathi, same issue here(but a D2).  A rep just happened to be at the course I played yesterday and told me otherwise.   I'd like to just get a new shaft, but I was told that a total replacement would happen.  Can you check that?  I'm hoping the shop where I purchased it from might have the same combination or at least the shaft to change out so I can still have a driver.

    Hi John,

Take your driver into your local pro shop or course and have them call the Warranty department..  We will send you a new shaft, not a total replacement.

    Hi Cathi,

Can I take it to any authorized retailer of Titleist to get the shaft replaced or does it have to be from place of purchase? I received my D3 as a gift so it's not convenient to take it to place of purchase. Also, how long does it take to send out a new shaft so I know how long I'll be without the driver. Thanks.

You can take your driver to any authorized Titleist retailer and they can set up the Warranty repair for you.   All 910 warranty repairs will be handled within 24 hours of receipt in the Warranty department.  Please have your pro shop request a shipping label and we will ship it back 2 day air.  So, it should take 2 days to get here 1-2 days in house and 2 days back to you.  We will be closed here in Carlsbad on Monday, the 30th for Memorial day.

Hello Shaun,  They will repair the ferrule, not replace the shaft.  You can order a separate shaft for the 910 and it will come with an adapter and a weight.

my current shaft with the problem is a rip 60 stiff, can i send it back to the warranty and get an extra stiff replacement?

  14. So, just to be sure, is Titleist repairing  or replacing shafts with these gaps?  If this is repaired and then happens again, are customers going to be able to get a replacement shaft?

THe same exact thing is happening to my ferrule as well, I took it back and they told me to glue it myself! I was furious! I spend 400 dollars on a club and they treat me like that. I cant keep the thing in place. It is definitely a faulty ferrule. I cant find a Titleist dealer to get me a new shaft. I treat my clubs like fragile golden eggs, this is nothing that we have done to our clubs!

Please clarify what Titleist will do- as I plan to bring my 910 D2 to the local Golf Galaxy. The gap is present but does not appear to effect performance.I am concerned that the condition will worsen.HELP please. Can you please email me with your response. Thanks ps I have only played approx. 6 rounds with the new driver and I love it-longest and most forgiving driver I have ever played in 46 years.

  20. Hello Andrew,

I didn't have any problems with the ferrule howerver there is a washer in the club head which rattles from the adjustable system, this is a new club and i'm worried from reading these post from everyone on here that Titleist won't be doing anything about it. I've sent it to be warranteed. What have they done to rectify your situation?

Hello Josh, A rattle in the head is sometimes caused by the weight(not being clicked in)being loose. There are two washers, but if the shaft is properly installed, it would be impossible for the washers to rattle because they are snugged up against the head. Can you let us know what shop set up your warranty?
  22. I did tighten it until it clicked. it seemed to be defective. I used it for 2 rounds only. The shop that sent the warrantee is Golftown Ottawa Ontario, And I also made sure the weight was clicked in aswell. This is my first experience with a titleist driver and was very excited to put this in my bag however i do understand these things happen. Ive been with other companies, Both these companies replace the clubs no questions asked. People on here just want the problem solved and seemed in some cases to get the run around. I hope this won't be the case for me. I really liked what i saw from the club's performance. Pending the outcome I look forward to a positive relationship with your brand.

    Thank you

Hi Josh, We will stand behind all our head, shafts and surefit adaptors and warranty them against any defects within the Warranty period. It looks like Ottawa had a different situation and that driver was fixed under warranty and sent back. Your driver just came into Canada Repairs today.

Im having the same issue with my 910 D3. If i take it to my local Golf Galaxy will do they need to send out the entire drive or just the shaft? Is shipping covered or does that have to be paid for them to send it out. Thanks

  26. So after all of this, The driver was sent back to me with an explination to why it wasn't going to be warranteed eveb though i recieved an email from titilest stating it was fix and sent back, The problem was me having the club reshafted so they wouldn't touch it. Im my opinion this is un acceptable and will most likely be selling the club at a very discounted rate and going to a company to boast about because clearly Titleist does not want that from everyone on of there clients. I work in a field where the "going above and beyond" applies and this was not the case here for me. It's really dissapointing and unfortunate but thank you for your time.

Hi Josh, We will always stand behind authentic Titleist components - heads, shafts and surefit adapters. I spoke with Canada to see what happened with your club and it seems that the rattle in your head was caused by a non Titleist adaptor that was put on an aftermarket shaft. The non Titleist adaptor did not fit properly and caused the metal washer to rattle. There also appeared to be some loose epoxy in the shaft from that reshafting that also contributed to the rattle. If the head had been defective and not damaged by the non Titleist adaptor, they would have repaired/replaced the head under Warranty (even with the non Titleist adaptor and shaft), but when they put a genuine Titleist adaptor and shaft on your head, it performed perfectly.

I checked with our Warranty department and it has not be received yet.  Golf Galaxy uses a different shipper than we normally use.  Once we receive it in our Warranty department, it will go out in 24 hours.

Hi Andrew, If the ferrule is slipping, it is a cosmetic issue that we would like to take care of. Make sure your Golf Galaxy asks for an expedited call tag so that we can get this back and forth in about week. There will be no expense to you, but the entire driver will need to be sent back so that they can check both head and shaft.

There should not be a gap if everything is lined up properly.
