  1. Hi All

New to the forum, I am looking to purchase a set of irons as a first upgrade from the starter set that you get with all clubs included. I currently have the Cobra FlyXL driver through to SW. Reason for the upgrade is i keep snapping the graphite shafts as i am in the gym a lot.

Looking to upgrade the irons first. Can someone recommend a decent set for a high handicapper looking to improve with ball striking and distance. I will be purchasing a second hand set as I am not at the level yet to go for a fitting.

Any recommendations would be most helpful.

    Many thanks

    Shanil

Titleist strongly supports individual customization as we are all different. One size does not fit all. So, there is not a full set option driver to putter. Buying used, you might find a full set on a local marketplace like Craigslist or check with a local golf shop. Most resales of Titleist clubs are iron sets and then individual wedges, putters, wood, and drivers.

It may be worth working with a coach about your swing. You might have a steep angle of attack and especially off of mats will stress the shaft as the mat is on a hard surface and doesn’t have the same give as turf.

Agree with Don O! Do as much research up front as you can and get fit for the proper club and particularly the shaft. Good idea about working with a coach who might have suggestions on your specs.
