  1. With the millions of dollars spent each year on designing and redesigning clubs can Titleist not develop a driver sole plate that doesn't get marked by tees?

Short answer is "no". It's not their fault. It's the paint they use on the tees.
Try plastic tees or unpainted wood tees.

Spend a couple of dollars for unpainted natural wood/bamboo tees

Unless driver heads were made from that alloy that Captain America’s shield was made from, all drivers from all companies will show wear marks and scuffs. You might consider making some tees from sticks of butter, keeping them in an ice chest until using them on each tee box.

Another one you can try is Cool Whip. Either way don't get upset when your dog keeps licking your driver after a round.

Laura Davies beats the tee box to create a dirt mound. An update on using a thimble of sand.

Wooden tees have a tendency to do that, when you strike the tee.

Literally every driver in the world does that. Stop using painted white tees.

If you hit up on the ball high enough and strike the ball low enough on the face this is a non-issue. Jussayin'...
