  1. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing what I am. I played a Titleist U505 4i for almost a year before the head came completely off the graphite shaft one day. I got it fixed but less than 2 rounds later it happened again and I lost the head. I picked up a T200 2i and have played it maybe 8 months (1-2 hits a round) and always off the tee. Last night while cleaning my clubs, I noticed the head has started to move just like my U505 so I am anticipating it coming off if I play it again. Is this happening to anyone else and has anyone been able to get it re-shafted and had success?

You may have gotten a club with a bad epoxy job. Do you know if it was assembled by Titleist?
Another thing is do you keep your clubs anywhere like in the trunk of your car or anywhere they are exposed to excessive heat? The heat can break down the epoxy.
  3. It was assembled by Titleist. I keep my clubs in my garage where temps in my area barely reach 100 but something to consider. Thanks.

Do much hitting from mats? Especially if the mat is on concrete or hard clay?

Agree with Barry. The only epoxy breakdown was with an iron stored in a trunk of a car on blacktop and outside temps over 100 for 3 days. I now keep the bag inside when not in use.

I agree with the above comments, but wanted to add some additional thoughts.

    1. have all of these issues been with the same shaft? If so, that could be the issue
    2. do you have a tendency to hit really fat shots?
  6. They are both Hzrdous shafts but both independent of each other. Bought both brand new from the golf store with the shafts on. When I first was practicing with the club, it was hitting more thin shots. It's been such a consistent club where I'm striking middle of club face so just sad to see this one happening like the U505 and wondered if anyone else is seeing this. The last technician when I fixed my U505 said he sees it all the time with a driving iron on a graphite shaft but it was supposed to have been fixed with the T200 (having the shaft go deeper into the hozzle).

I was just about to post the same thing. I have a U505, and the head fell off last year, had to get it reattached at a local PGA tour superstore.

Now almost 1 year later, I have a T200 utility build, and the head came off again.

Both clubs with a hzrds shaft, both ordered direct and built in Carlsbad.

I contacted them again to make them aware, there's an issue with how they are applying the epoxy to the utility irons.

Makes me cautious to buy the new T100 when they come out honestly.

I’ve sent my T200 2-iron with the KBS Tour Lite shaft back to Titleist three times now due to the same recurring issue: a bend at the hosel connection. Each time, the bend has occurred in the exact same way. The club has been stored properly and used for fewer than three rounds each time before the issue reappeared.

The club has now been back with Titleist for nearly three weeks, and I’m unsure whether it will still qualify for warranty coverage and receive another re-shaft. If possible, I would be open to trying a graphite shaft instead, especially if Titleist could offer it at a discounted rate.

This is the only Titleist club I’ve had an issue with. I’ve been a loyal Titleist customer for over 10 years and have always been satisfied—until this 2-iron. I’ve also heard from other club members who have experienced the same problem with their 2-irons.

I truly hope Titleist will address this issue, as many of us remain loyal to the brand and expect the quality Titleist is known for.
