    First time poster, but am in a tailspin and need some input. In short, the intro of the mini driver has me rethinking the composition of my bag and I would appreciate some opinions.

    I'm an inaccurate driver off the tee hitting about 50% of fairways. Average carry is 275, so when things go awry, they go very far awry and impact scoring.

    Currently have the GT2 driver and 3 wood. 2 driving iron, 4-W, 48, 54 and 58.

    Thinking of going with the mini driver instead of the GT2. Keeping the 3 wood. Replacing the driving iron with a 5 wood and keeping the irons and bottom of the bag the same.

    Thought is that trading distance for accuracy off the tee might be good for me right now.

    Thoughts?

    Brian, sorry to hear about the tail spin.

    Depending on your 3 wood loft, you might just replace the 3 wood and insert the mini driver. Keep the driver and develop confidence with it. Use it on very wide open fairways and use mini driver or 2 driving iron on tighter fairways. Driver is a struggle for all of us but don’t give up on it.
