So as with a lot of players I get caught up in wanting to play "players" clubs. I have a pretty good swing and I'm still strong at 54 but wanted to share a recent experience. I have been away from the game since about 2018 and started back about 3 months ago. I have a local shop with lots of used clubs so it makes it easy to try different ones until you settle on the right one. I got the GT3 driver with an X stiff shaft and no matter how many adjustments I made I just couldn't hit it consistently. Decided to give the G2 a try and switched to the Hazardous 6.0 shaft and wow!!! So easy to hit, with much nicer ball flight and carry. I played one round with it and was amazed how much better I drove the ball. FYI I have Project X 6.5 shafts in my T100's which I absolutely love!! My point is, sometimes put your ego aside and the game becomes much more enjoyable!! I'm really amazed at the instance improvement in my driving. I also think most people go for a fitting for their irons but few do that for a driver. I wish I would have and it would have saved me some time and money.
