Does anyone have any experience with ordering a set of AP2 with lofts adjusted per Titleist's standard offering (+/1 or 2 degrees) - For example, if you ordered them strong or week from standard, have they held their lofts as adjusted over time? How easily do they bend back or adjust? Any help would be appreciated.

In my experience, a significant majority of fitted AP2 sets are bent 1 degree strong of Titleist standard, with a 4-GW(or Vokey) makeup.  The iron just launches high and spins more than most options out there.  However, just the other day, we had a real shallow bias, Greg Norman Type, roll through and we went with AP2 1 weak.  He needed the extra lift and spin.  It makes a about 2-300rpm difference...which can be huge.

Great - thanks for the information. One further question, do you worry about them bending back to standard? Reason for my question - I am a low single digit handicap with moderate swing speed (modestly slower than the average for my handicap) and would prefer stronger lofts than standard for the added distance (trajectory/spin have not been an issue and normal tees on course I regularly play range from 6,750 - 7,100) - 2 degrees would be a 1/2 club, which is more significant for me than possibly others. I play and practice a lot; thus, do you have to worry about them bending back over time? I would order them from Titleist; thus, know they would be correct from outset - just wondering about lofts weakening over time.

I recommend checking the lies and lofts every 20 rounds. That's about twice a year for most players.

They bang around and the metal is so soft...a degree or so off a few clubs may cost you a shot at a particular time.  Check your wedges and Cameron too!

If you order custom clubs that are bent by Titleist, we will bend those back to your serial number specs after each season (or when you need).  Just take them back to a custom fitting Titleist account and the only cost will be shipping.
