Being recently soaked to the skin in my current "waterproof" rain gear, I am looking at going with FJ. Not sure to go with half sleeve or full sleeve. Definitely need something waterproof, but also quiet. I do not want to sound like a piece of plastic while swinging a club. Any advice from Team Titleist?

  2. So it depends on your budget....the new "Select" Rain Gear by FJ is amazing....it is like paper thin, no sound, and feels great! However, it is expensive. The FJ HydroLite jackets and pants are equally good but at a lower price however slightly thicker...depends on your preference....The FJ Tour XP is great however I prefer the Select and HydroLite.

I have both and love them!

Go with FJ, you won't be disappointed. Best there is and unobtrusive in the noise department.

You can't go wrong with any of the FJ raingear. You need to think about the temperature you play in and that will lead you to long/short sleeves as well as heavier/lighter.

I've heard the goretex stuff is quite good. Multiple companies use their materials including UA to name one. Obviously if you're in a wet climate, it makes sense to invest in good gear. I just have the basic snake eyes (golfsmith brand) long sleeve and pants as I try not to pick out rainy tee times.

The Hydrolite is very good and the Tour XP is excellent in my opinion.

I have both FJ Tour XP long sleeve and short sleeve jackets. Both are extremely comfortable to play in. Obviously, I use one for cooler conditions and the other for warmer. Both are very fashionable and neither makes noise. One pair of Black FJ rain pants works with both. The nice thing about the XP jackets is that they are so attractive, you don't need to wear them only when it rains. I wear mine whenever I need an extra layer as long as it doesn't clash with the outfit I happen to have on that day. They are great for wind also. FJ is top shelf.

    Hey Micheal,
Being from Ontario, Canada. I play in all sorts of temperatures and weather conditions. I have multiple FJ jackets (long sleeve and short, heavyweight and lite). I have no doubt that you can find a set of rain gear that can do exactly what you want in the FJ line without hindering your swing in any way. I carry mine in my bag all the time.
    All the best Stu M

    I agree with Stu,
I'm also from Ontario Canada. You really can't go wrong with Footjoy. Wind proof and waterproof. I went with the XP full sleeve and sometimes I wish I had gotten the half sleeve. Which ever you way you decide won't be wrong.
    Enjoy

Thanks for all the input, much appreciated. Leaning towards FJ Hydrolite with the short sleeves.

The FJ pants and jackets are expensive, but you get what you pay for. I've had the same FJ pants for 6 years and have even shoveled snow in them. They're awesome. Go FJ or you'll be getting wet
