My Titleist 14-way cart bag (my 3rd) has 14 openings at the top, but if you look closely inside the bag the full length separations do not go to the bottom. However, there are 5 fabric separation panels which do go nearly all the way down. The putter well is one, the next three openings, in which I store my wedges, are another. Then the next two rows of 8 top openings has a center panel all the way down separating 4 club shafts/grips on the left and 4 on the right. Finally, there is a single full-length panel separating the back two openings/club shafts.

Because these fabric separations are quite thin, grips can still sometimes get tangled down there, even when one is on one side of a fabric panel and one is on another. The panels don't go entirely to the bottom. It looks like they go to about an inch short of the bottom., since I can see the very end of a grip on the other side of a panel.

I use midsize Golf Pride New Decade grips, so I may have more trouble than others. Though, it is not always an issue, it can be when the back is packed full of other stuff. One thing I have noticed is that the more stuff that is packed into the two larger side panels on either side of the the bag, the less room there is for the shafts/grips to pass in and out unimpeded. Basically, if I don't put cold weather clothing, rain outfits, a box of Pro Vs and other larger items in the bag, then there is very little problem getting clubs in and out. (Unfortunately, I like to carry all sorts of extra stuff most of the time.)

I use midsize grips and do not have any problems with my 14 way divider...plus I use the large matador grip on my putter and again have no problems!

I have mid-size GolfPride MCC +4 with two extra wraps on all of my clubs and have a mid size cart bag with a 14 way divider. Have no issues. Have a GolfPride 140 grip on my putter and it fits nicely in the putter well, which is larger than the Matador grip.
