4UP versus Players 4 stand bag

  1. I was wondering if there was a size difference between the 4UP Stadry stand bag and the Players 4 standard (not Stadry) stand bag's top cuff. I know that they are both 4 way tops, but given the fact that the Stadry is 3.9 pounds and the Player's 4 is 4.3 I thought perhaps the Player's 4 was a little larger with maybe a larger top cuff.

Also, it only shows the 1 large pocket on the spine but people have intimated that there might be some additional mesh pockets inside the large pocket to keep it better organized (or maybe that was on the Player's 5 bag??) and I was wondering if anyone could share their thoughts on this.

    Thanks

Chad, I have both a Players 4 and the original 4UP StaDry. I think the only change to the 4UP from the original to the current is the removable straps. I can't comment on any additions to the inside of the pockets. I don't have an issue with needing smaller pockets as i tend to use small zip bags for separating items. As for the circumference, the 4UP is slightly smaller. I am at work so I can't get to the bags right now to give you exact measurements. It also seems slightly shorter in length. I'll try to send to specific measurements later today.

Well Chad, i got home and measured and seems the 4UP is closer to 8 inches and the Players 4 more like 9 inches. The height of the 4UP also is 33 inches and the Players 4 is 34 inches. Very close to the same. The 4UP just feels a bit smaller. Maybe because it is rounder? Like them both.
  4. Dale,

Thanks so much for the info, very helpful. I was hoping someone who had both would be able to compare the 2 like this. I have a 2018 Stadry 4UP and it's a great, lightweight bag but the top cuff is a bit tight for a full set. Not bad but, and certainly usable, just a bit tight. I'm looking to get the Player's 4 just to have a bag that's a little bit bigger for the days when it's not raining.
