  1. Recently went to Seoul and got a chance to view their relationship with golf and it's definitely a different beast there. I mosied over to their "The Hyundai" which is a department store/mall in the Yeongdeungpo-gu district. There was a Titleist store that had extremely premium Titleist clothing (sans-Footjoy). Shirts, polos, jackets, shorts, pants, luggage, all the things that you'd see from a clothing company like Footjoy, swoosh, Adidas, etc.

Very unique quality and not the completely bland aesthetic we have here for what we have.

The polos themselves were priced anywhere from 250,000-330,00 won ($200+ USD).

What I haven't found an answer to is, has there been any exploration in bringing that to the US market? Is it simply not viable from a financial standpoint? Similarly, have there been any professional golfers on the PGA Tour that was outfitted with this?

  2. Japan is like that as well. I have a contact there that can order for me from the site, but it's costly. www.titleist.co.jp
is their site, and there a lot of options. I do not know the answer and at one point I was thinking about importing a bunch and selling on eBay, but there really is no 3rd party profit a there.

I believe there are company differentiations between the US parent and the Asian subsidiary which allows them to do branding differently and provide things unique to their marketplace. They are therefore not allowed to export worldwide so you must go there to purchase those items or buy them from a second source like eBay. I also believe most of their items are manufactured in China and Acushnet does not have the same direct manufacturing agreements with those providers. As for the last part of your question, maybe watch broadcasts of the Asian Tour tournaments and you will see some unique outfits not seen on US players.
