    Hi everyone,

I’m considering switching from my Vessel Player Pro IV to a lighter Titleist stand bag for travel and walking rounds. I carry a full set of 14 clubs with midsize grips, so I’m looking for something that balances weight, comfort, and organization.

I’ve narrowed it down to the Players 4, Players 4 Carbon, and Players 5 models, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on:

    • Weight and comfort for walking/travel • Top layout and how well it handles midsize grips • Storage differences (room for rain gear?) • Durability and strap comfort • Push cart compatibility — which bags stay stable on carts, and do any have cart strap tunnels? • Any noticeable differences between the 2024 and 2025 versions — especially if the 2024 models are still available at a discount

Bonus points if you’ve traveled with any of these bags or taken them through long walking rounds. I’m looking for something light enough for travel but still functional enough to handle midsize grips and the full set. Appreciate any insights and comparisons you can share!

    Thanks in advance!

I have all three bag types. The Players 5 will give you the room you desire for larger grips. I have normal grips and when carrying the Players 4 Carbon, I usually only carry 12 clubs. Pocket space can get tight at Bandon in December when carrying rain gear and 1/4 zip. That said, it’s my favorite for walking as it is the lightest and being a slim guy, fits best across my back. The Players 5 is not heavy by any means but just feels a bit bulky walking for a smaller guy like me. I also love the Carbon’s graphite legs where as the others have aluminum legs that sometimes get bent in soft travel cases.
