    Does anyone have any tips on how to get the ball to spin more off wedges? I feel fairly confident hitting my wedges close to the pin, but have a ton of roll out.

    Same principal as shooting pool. Too put spin on a cue ball you need to hit down on the ball with the cue stick. Am not a pro, suggest seeing one to do it properly with a golf ball.

    It's all about hitting down on the ball and making pure contact.

    Hitting the ball first and then the ground, and just as important, acceleration through the strike.You won't get much spin if you don't accelerate through impact.

    Hitting down on the ball. Also important to make contact with ball to allow grooves to add spin. Getting ball up in the air can help as well.

    Personally I hate the term "hitting down on the ball". Too many times I see players trying that and taking a huge divot starting right behind the ball. I like to focus on the bottom of my swing being the front of the ball.

    I couldnt find the link but i saw a video recently discussing opening up face and giving as much surface under the ball to give it the most amount of contact to get that spin going.

    They also emphasized the importance of committing to the shot.

    I personally often hesitate to "commit" because I'm scared of just blading it across the green.

    Not sure if that makes sense.

    Place ball 1-2 ball widths back of center to steepen AoA. Open stance and club face to counteract rightward miss.

    Light grip (if you don’t think it’ll slip away too tight). Quiet hands, loose wrists as in no tension (see light grip).
